Visby Women — Norrkoping Women: 64:71, Basketligan Women

Norrköping Women saw out a 71-64 win at Visby on Saturday evening in the Swedish Basketball League. The visitors took control early and kept their composure when the home side pushed back. By then the gap was enough to withstand any late surge.

Visby started at home with energy but lacked the finish to stay in the game. Norrköping's defence held firm and their offence moved the ball with purpose. To be fair, the visitors had the better players on the floor and showed it.

The visitors' recent form makes this result less surprising. They beat Brahe Women 83-62 on their last outing and have won thirteen of their twenty-four league games. Visby, by contrast, have only one victory from the same number of matches.

We had tipped the away side to win and that proved right. The confidence sat with Norrköping's experience and their ability to close out games. And here's the thing — it wasn't a blowout, just a steady accumulation of small advantages.

Visby sit twelfth with no points and a twenty-three-game losing run. Norrköping occupy seventh place, still with work to do but comfortably above the bottom half. The result leaves both sides where they were before kick-off.
