Umeå came to Visby for a semi-final in April 2018, and 1,195 people packed into ICA Maxi Arena to watch it, a mark the ground still holds for a basketball crowd there.

The club has called that arena home only since the 2015-16 season, moving into a hall on Idrottsgatan with 1,500 fixed seats, padded backrests and four boxes.

That title, when it came, arrived the hard way. In the 2004-05 final Visby Ladies went the distance with Luleå Basket and won it 3-2.

The parent club, Visby Basketbollklubb, dates back to 1992, competing in a league now called Basketligan Women after years under the old Damligan name.

1,195 — the number still stencilled into the arena's memory from that night against Umeå.
