The club lifted the Swedish Cup again in the 2024-25 campaign, beating Högsbo Basket in the final, its second cup win after the 2021-22 edition.

That habit took shape between 2014 and 2018, when Luleå won five straight Swedish Championships, then added further titles in 2021 and 2023. Few stretches in the domestic game have matched it.

The club traces back to 1978, though for five seasons, between 2011 and 2015, it played under a different name altogether: Northland Basket, after a sponsorship deal with the mining company Northland Mining. When that arrangement ended, the Luleå Basket name returned and has stuck since.

Home games are played at the Luleå Energi Arena, known as Pontushallen until 2012. Luleå also tested itself against continental opposition in the EuroCup Women during the 2016-17 season.
