Ruzhentsev: CSKA Would Hold Own Against Euroleague Sides
CSKA Moscow guard Samson Ruzhentsev says the club can compete with Euroleague teams and expects a top-three finish in the United League this season.
Samson Ruzhentsev, CSKA Moscow's guard, says the club would hold its own against Euroleague opposition despite Russian teams' continued absence from continental competition.
"We beat EuroLeague sides 2-0 in pre-season before the break. So despite the break from those competitions, we'd look decent," Ruzhentsev told Match TV.
"It matches the European standard. I think we'll definitely finish in the top three. The United League is a fairly strong, competitive league, especially the top four," the CSKA guard said.
