Alden Polynice: Stoudemire Doesn't Belong in Hall of Fame
Ex-NBA center Alden Polynice pushed back on Byron Scott's endorsement, arguing Amar'e Stoudemire's short peak shouldn't earn him a Hall of Fame spot.
Alden Polynice has rejected the idea that Amar'e Stoudemire belongs in the Basketball Hall of Fame, disputing an endorsement from Byron Scott.
"Amar'e was one of the best big men at the time he played. So, yes. Yes, absolutely. He deserves a spot. Yes," Scott said.
"Amar'e, congratulations. But you got caught. I have more rebounds than Amar'e. I congratulate him again, no question, but the thing is, we live in such an era. Everything is based on a short window of time that defines his legacy. No, I don't believe he's a damn Hall of Famer. Understood? This isn't a criticism. It's just about the numbers," Polynice said.
