Lakers Hire Keith D'Amelio From the Liberty
The Lakers named Keith D'Amelio, formerly of the New York Liberty, as director of integrated performance systems, reporting to Rob Pelinka.
The Lakers have hired Keith D'Amelio away from the New York Liberty to lead the medical department, the club announced. D'Amelio takes the newly created role of director of integrated performance systems and will report directly to Rob Pelinka.
D'Amelio brings 25 years in sports medicine to the job. At the Liberty he was responsible for innovation. Before that he worked with Nike, with Stanford's basketball programme, and with clubs in Toronto and Boston.
