Jokic credited Jameer Nelson, Wilson Chandler and Mike Miller for instilling his work ethic, saying he still trains 295 of 300 days a year.

Nikola Jokic has named the three players who shaped his approach when he first arrived in the NBA: Jameer FC Nelson, Wilson Chandler and Mike Miller.

"After my move to the NBA, Jameer Nelson and Wilson Chandler became role models. We still have a group chat with them, and we get in touch sometimes. I think about them often. Mike Miller was older, but just as dedicated. They were in the gym every day. Shooting, working on free throws, lifting weights. That was the mindset — do at least something every day. So it was a great example, you don't need to overthink it, just do the same. Then over the years you build your own habits, find your own way. Nothing has changed now. I’m in the gym 295 days out of 300," Jokic said.
