Caitlin Clark scores 25 but Fever fall 93-77 to Washington

Caitlin Clark scored 25 points for Indiana in a 93:77 loss to Washington, but made 6 of 20 from the field. The defeat left the Fever one game behind Atlanta in the race for the No. 4 seed.

Indiana never led for a single possession. The team shot 37% overall (26 of 71) and 21% from three (6 of 28). Clark was 3 of 10 from beyond the arc and 10 of 10 at the free-throw line.

"Sometimes it happens in basketball. We couldn't buy a shot today," the guard said. "But at the same time, this can happen in the playoffs too. So we need to figure it all out. Find a way to win. I don't think we'll shoot this badly again for the rest of the season."

"All season we've had the best offence in the league. Today we just didn't look like ourselves. I hope it was just a fluke and to forget about it quickly. But at the same time we have to take a lesson from it. We need to analyse the game and understand what went wrong. We looked sluggish. Missing our usual spark," Clark said.
