EuroLeague CEO Chus Bueno: NBA Has Made No Partnership Offer
Chus Bueno says EuroLeague has received no materials from the NBA on any partnership, but will study a concrete project and present it to owners if one arrives.
The NBA has not sent EuroLeague a concrete proposal on any form of partnership, the league's chief executive Chus Bueno has said.
"As of today, we have not received any materials from the NBA on what a potential partnership or cooperation might look like," Bueno told The Athletic.
EuroLeague is prepared to look at an offer if one arrives. "If a concrete project comes from the NBA, we will study it carefully and, if appropriate, present it to our owners. We are always open to cooperation with the NBA or any other organisation that can contribute to the development of EuroLeague and European basketball," Bueno said.
He added that both sides have spoken publicly in favour of working together and against further fragmentation of European basketball.
