Kenny Atkinson has 13 players in Cleveland's rotation mix
Cleveland coach Kenny Atkinson has not set his starting five before camp, saying 13 players can claim rotation spots and he is delighted with the depth.
Cleveland head coach Kenny Atkinson has 13 players he considers candidates for a place in the rotation, and he has not yet settled on a starting five ahead of training camp.
"Probably right now we have 13 players who can claim a spot in the main rotation. As for depth, I could not be happier. Every day we see the results of the work done in the offseason, especially with the young players, and how they are progressing. We have a lot of players we can count on. Now I need to work out how best to combine them," Atkinson said.
If the 13 stay in contention through camp, Atkinson will have to cut his rotation down to a workable size before the season opens, and the young players he singled out may decide where the last places go.
