Carmelo Anthony: 2008 Redeem Team Would Beat 1992 Dream Team

Carmelo Anthony believes the 2008 United States side, known as the Redeem Team, would have beaten the 1992 Dream Team head to head.

"We would have beaten them. I don't want to say by 50 points, but the game would have been very competitive, and we would have won. We had youth. Those guys were already worn out. Larry Bird was lying on the floor with his leg stretched out and a beach towel under it. Those guys were just enjoying themselves. For them it wasn't anything serious. What was serious were the stakes and everything around the tournament. But the players themselves were already getting on in years. We would definitely have beaten them," Anthony said.
