Marcus Smart Excited to Play Alongside Kevin Durant
The Rockets' new guard says he's relieved to no longer defend Durant, looking forward to watching him score as a teammate instead.
Marcus Smart, the newest addition to the Houston roster, said he is looking forward to a very different view of Kevin Durant's jump shot now that the two are teammates.
"Now I'll be on the other side — I won't have to worry about him shooting over me anymore. His ability to score doesn't depend on who's in front of him. And it doesn't help that he's noticeably taller than me. Now I'll be able to give him the ball and just watch him shoot, without worrying about how to stop him. I think the most interesting part will be watching him do what he does best," Smart said.
