Lakers GM Rob Pelinka names Luka Doncic the world's best offensive player

Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has identified Luka Doncic as the premier offensive talent in the game, stating the 27-year-old is the best attacking player in the world. Pelinka said the club has focused its summer strategy on building a roster that supports Doncic’s skill set and is satisfied with the current configuration.

«Luka is the best attacking player in the world, and for us as a club the opportunity to put a player of his age on the court every night is something special. This requires special decisions when forming the team around him. This is what we have been doing this summer and we are very satisfied with how everything looks at the moment», Pelinka said.

The Lakers have been active in reshaping their rotation to accommodate Doncic’s usage rate, aiming to create spacing that allows the Slovenian guard to operate without defensive congestion. Pelinka’s comments suggest the front office believes the current roster construction provides the necessary balance for an offensive-heavy system.
