Kawhi Leonard says he has no regrets about leaving Toronto for the Clippers in 2019, and that he made the move with his family in mind.
"I don't really go back to that decision very often," Leonard said. "The following year the COVID-19 pandemic began, and I made the decision to move to Los Angeles primarily on the basis of what was best for my family. I am a real family man. I had many older relatives I could spend time with, but they later passed away. So it was very important for me to see children being born to my cousins, my nephews and nieces. I cannot turn that time back. I value the chance to be near my family, to hug my loved ones before they go or are no longer around. So I don't think much about this decision from a basketball point of view."
