Tobias Harris: Winning a Title Is My Last Career Goal
The 34-year-old forward explains why he picked the Spurs over other suitors this summer, after averaging 13.3 points for Detroit last season.
Tobias Harris has set out his priority for the rest of his career after choosing San Antonio over other suitors this summer.
"I have one goal I would like to accomplish before the end of my career — to win a championship. I look at the talent of this team, its development prospects and its desire to fight for a championship, and all of that matches my personal goals. We fit each other in terms of what I can give the team, as well as what the team itself is aiming for and what results it wants to achieve in the coming years. To my mind, this is a perfect combination," Harris said.
The 34-year-old forward was not short of options. By all accounts, San Antonio was not the only side interested in him, but he judged the Spurs the best fit on offer.
Last season Harris made 63 appearances for Detroit, averaging 13.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
