Alexis Villalba

Sources disagree on where Alexis Villalba was born. Official databases list San Patricio, Misiones, but the defender himself told D10 Ultima Hora that he was actually born in Obligado, Itapúa, and grew up in San Patricio.

Villalba came through the youth ranks at Club Guaraní and made his senior debut in 2019 under coach Gustavo Florentín. A year earlier, in 2018, he had already featured in the Guaraní squad that won the first-ever edition of the Copa Paraguay. He stayed with the club through several seasons before a loan spell at Resistencia S.C. from July 2022, returning to Guaraní in December 2023.

His time back at Guaraní was brief. In January 2024 he moved to Sportivo Luqueño on a free transfer, taking the number 5 shirt as a right-footed defender. He remained at the club until leaving as a free agent in July 2026 to join Club 2 de Mayo.

Villalba has not been capped by the senior Paraguay national team, though he did represent the Misiones regional selection at under-15 level earlier in his career.
