Dener

Dener came through Portuguesa de Desportos before São Paulo picked him up for its academy, where he stayed for six years and eventually earned a single senior appearance for the club. Rather than a straight path into the first team, his development continued away from São Paulo, with loan spells at Paulista, Guarani and América-RN.

The move that shaped his career came in 2015, when he joined Portimonense in Portugal. He stayed for six seasons, making over 140 appearances and scoring 21 goals across the Primeira Liga and Liga Portugal 2, and was part of the side that won the Segunda Liga in 2016–17, taking Portimonense up to the top flight. When Al-Tai signed him from Saudi Arabia in 2021 for a reported €5 million, the fee was split between São Paulo and Portimonense under retained economic rights from his original departure from Brazil.

He made 51 appearances for Al-Tai before returning to Portimonense on a free transfer in 2023. In 2025 he moved back to Brazil to join Clube do Remo. Since then he has featured across several competitions there, including Série C, the Campeonato Carioca, the Copa Sul-Sudeste and the Copa do Brasil.
