Gustavo Alfonso Dulanto Sanguinetti

Gustavo Dulanto played the full ninety minutes when Sheriff Tiraspol won 2–1 away at Real Madrid, one of the results that took the Moldovan side into the Champions League group stage as the first club from the country to reach that round. He had joined Sheriff on a free transfer and left with a full set of honours: the Moldovan National Division in two straight seasons and the Moldovan Cup, before Riga FC took him to Latvia. The move ended badly. In August 2022 he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during training, needed surgery and never played for Riga again; the club terminated his contract by mutual agreement roughly a year and a half later.

Before Europe, the centre-back had come through at Universitario de Deportes, making his senior debut in 2015 and winning the Torneo Apertura the following year. Spells at Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca and Real Garcilaso followed, then a move to Portugal with Boavista. Back home, Dulanto returned to Universitario in 2024 and won the Torneo Clausura that year, then the Torneo Apertura in 2025, before going out on loan to ADT for the Clausura campaign, where he scored once in fourteen appearances.

He has yet to earn a senior cap for Peru, despite the run of league titles and continental football that punctuated his time in Moldova. His only representative football came earlier, with a Peruvian youth side at the 2013 Bolivarian Games. He now joins Sport Boys for the 2026 season.
