About the player
Hernán Da Campo still calls it the most beautiful goal of his career. It also carried weight beyond the moment — Sport Boys' first win over Cristal in nearly 19 years at the Miguel Grau stadium.
Born in Capitán Bermúdez, in Santa Fe Province, and nicknamed "El Bermudense", Da Campo came up through Rosario Central, making his professional debut there in November 2014. Still, he left with a Copa Argentina title, won with Rosario Central in 2018.
He moved on permanently in 2019, to Chacarita Juniors, before a switch to Greece with Olympiacos Volos, where he never featured for the senior side and was loaned out to Apollon Larissa instead. Back in Argentina, spells at Brown de Adrogué and Temperley kept him playing regularly, with 52 and 34 league appearances respectively.
Da Campo joined Sport Boys as a free agent on 1 January 2025, signing through to the end of 2027. He has settled into the side, with 31 league appearances and three goals in his first year in Peru — the goal against Cristal the clearest marker yet of his impact at the club.
