Jack Ryan McGlynn

Jack Ryan McGlynn came through Blau-Weiß Gottschee and the Union Academy before signing his first professional contract in August 2020. Across four seasons in Philadelphia he made 99 first-team appearances and scored seven goals, with 2024 standing out: four goals and seven assists in 30 matches. That form led to a move to Houston Dynamo in February 2025, a transfer worth a base fee of $2.1 million with add-ons that could push the total to $3.4 million.

McGlynn's time in Houston produced a productive spell. In the 2025 season alone he recorded nine goals and eight assists across all competitions, and over his full Dynamo career he reached 44 MLS appearances with eight goals and 14 assists. That output was enough to earn a move across the Atlantic: in September 2026 he transferred to Stoke City in the Championship for a fee that could rise to $6 million with incentives.

At international level, McGlynn won the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in 2022 and the CONCACAF Nations League with the United States in 2023/24 before making his senior debut in 2025. His first start for the senior team came against Venezuela on 18 January 2025, when he scored on debut, set up another goal and was named Player of the Match. He added a second senior goal against Turkey that June and was part of the USMNT squad that reached the final of the 2025 Gold Cup, where they lost to Mexico.
