Jorge Luis Sanguina Morínigo

Jorge Sanguina's career has been built on loans. He came through at Libertad before spending stretches away at Rubio Ñu and then Atyrá, where he finished as the División Intermedia's top scorer with 15 goals in 2021.

That move came in February 2022, when Sportivo Ameliano signed him just after their promotion to the Primera División. Later that year he scored the decisive penalty in the shootout that beat Nacional in the 2022 Copa Paraguay final, handing Ameliano the first title in the club's history in that competition.

He left for General Caballero JLM for the 2023 season before taking his career abroad in July 2024, signing a three-year contract with Independiente Rivadavia in Argentina after reported interest from Santos in Brazil did not turn into a move. Colón de Santa Fe then bought half of his economic rights from Independiente Rivadavia in February 2025, a deal structured so that General Caballero JLM retained a further 30% and the player himself kept a 20% stake in his own rights.

That arrangement brought him back to Paraguay in July 2025, when Colón loaned him to Sportivo Ameliano, the club where his Copa Paraguay penalty is still remembered, for the 2025 season.
