Jorge Cabeza came through the youth ranks at Barcelona SC, one of Ecuador's biggest clubs, where he was registered from February to December 2021.
After leaving Barcelona SC, Cabeza spent two years without a club before resurfacing in February 2025 at 22 de Julio FC, in the Ecuadorian second division. He stayed there until December that year, when his contract ran out and he became a free agent.
In January 2026, Cabeza signed for Leones del Norte on a free transfer. The move brought him into the Ecuadorian Serie A, with Leones del Norte having just secured promotion to the top flight for the 2026 season. The midfielder, born in Esmeraldas, arrives with senior league experience but without a major title to his name.
