M. Perez Curci

Mateo Pérez Curci left Mendoza at 17 to join Independiente's academy. Transfermarkt credits him with a spell at Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza. He worked his way through Independiente's under-20 side and then the reserve team before getting his senior chance: on 1 November 2025 he came off the bench in a 3–0 win over Atlético Tucumán, his first appearance for the first team.

Since then the central midfielder, comfortable also in a more advanced role, has been a regular fixture. Across the 2026 season he has made 16 appearances in the Liga Profesional Apertura, supplying one assist and picking up three yellow cards, and he has added three appearances with a further assist in the Copa Argentina. Independiente have tied him to a contract running until the end of 2028.

His progress has not gone unnoticed at international level either: Pérez Curci was called up to Argentina's under-17 side and took part in the 2025 South American U-17 Championship with the national squad.
