About the player
Maverick Vera has never played for another club. Every stage of his career so far has run through Aucas: three seasons with the under-20 side before a promotion to the first team in August 2025, a move made without a transfer fee simply because he was already inside the building.
The Ecuadorian forward is right-footed and is used mainly on the right wing. He has yet to add a trophy or an individual award to his record, which is not unusual for a player only just past his teenage years.
There is no international recognition to speak of yet at senior level, and his profile remains tied almost entirely to club football. What stands out is the shape of the path itself: an academy graduate handed a first-team place rather than one bought in from outside.
