Tommy Mihalic

Tommy Mihalić made his Major League Soccer debut for Los Angeles FC on 19 August 2026, coming on as a substitute against Colorado Rapids. Born in Skokie, Illinois, he holds dual American and Croatian citizenship and represented Croatia at under-15 and under-17 level, gathering six caps with the U-17s.

His path to LAFC ran through Indiana University rather than a traditional academy pipeline. After a spell in FC Augsburg's under-19 setup in Germany, Mihalić enrolled at Indiana and became one of the Hoosiers' most productive forwards, scoring 24 goals with 9 assists across 90 appearances between 2021 and 2024. His senior year stood out in particular: 10 goals and 5 assists earned him the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award, a First-team All-Big Ten selection and First-team All-North Region recognition from the United Soccer Coaches. Indiana won the Big Ten Tournament in 2023 during his time there and reached the NCAA College Cup final in 2022.

Alongside his college commitments, Mihalić also turned out for RWB Adria in the Midwest Premier League, though injury kept him out of the 2024 campaign in which the club won the Heartland Division 1 title.

He signed a professional contract with Los Angeles FC 2 in March 2025 and quickly established himself in MLS Next Pro, scoring 10 goals and adding 5 assists in 28 appearances that year. He kept up the form into 2026, contributing 8 goals and 2 assists in 19 matches before his promotion to the LAFC first-team squad.
