Wessel Dammers

Wessel Dammers came through the Feyenoord academy after starting out at VV Spirit, and made his senior debut for the club in a UEFA Europa League match against Standard Liège in December 2014. A loan spell at SC Cambuur followed, where he made 19 appearances, before he returned to Feyenoord and was part of the squad that won the 2016–17 Eredivisie title, though his involvement that season was limited to a single Europa League appearance, a start away to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

He left on a free transfer to Fortuna Sittard in the summer of 2017, making 65 appearances and scoring four goals before moving to FC Groningen in March 2020. At Groningen he was named in the Eredivisie Team of the Month in May 2022, shortly before joining Willem II on loan. That switch became permanent later that year on a three-year deal, and Dammers made 34 appearances for the club.

Dammers signed for Randers FC on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. He was made captain for the 2024–25 season, and in January 2026 he extended his contract with the club until 2030. He has represented the Netherlands at various youth levels, from the under-18s up to the under-21s, without going on to earn a senior cap.
