Digenis Ypsonas

Ypsonas sits just outside Limassol, one of the district's smaller towns, and for decades it supported two separate football clubs rather than one. That changed on 14 May 2014, when Enosi Neon Ypsona and Digenis Akritas Ipsona merged into a single entity.

Digenis Akritas Ipsona was the older of the two, dating to 1958, and had taken the Cypriot Third Division title in 1981–82 and again in 1988–89. Enosi Neon Ypsona, founded in 2005, arrived at the merger having just won the Fourth Division that same season. The combined club took the Digenis name and, for a time, played simply as Ypsonas FC.

In July 2022 ownership passed to Yevgeny Savin, the Russian former footballer known online as "Krasava," and the club was rebranded Krasava ENY Ypsonas. The kit changed with him too, yellow and black replacing the green and white the Digenis side had worn for generations. The nickname stuck around regardless: they are still called Oi Diigenaroi.

The 2024–25 season brought the club's biggest result yet, the Second Division championship and with it promotion to the Cypriot First Division for 2025–26, played out of the Stelios Chari Stadium, which holds 1,000. Ahead of that first top-flight campaign the club signed Denis Cheryshev, the Russian international, giving a ground built for a thousand spectators its most recognisable name yet.
