Espoirs

Joël Bräm spent three seasons in the Espoirs shirt before making the step up to the senior side at Pfadi Winterthur, one of a handful of names the team has produced for the club it feeds. Lukas Heer went the same route a few years earlier, four seasons with the Espoirs before graduating; Gian-Luca Bühlmann followed from 2018.

The team plays under the banner of SG Yellow/Pfadi, the cooperation between Yellow Winterthur and Pfadi Winterthur that was formed in 2015, with the Espoirs name attached to the development squad the following year. Yellow itself traces back to 1961, when it played as Vikings before adopting its current name; Pfadi dates to 1938. The partnership lets the two Winterthur clubs share a pipeline rather than compete for the same local talent, and the Espoirs are where that talent is tested before it is trusted with a first-team shirt.

Home games are played at the AXA Arena in yellow and black, the colours carried over from Yellow Winterthur, in front of a ground that holds 2,000. What matters from this dressing room is who is ready to move next door to face Kadetten Schaffhausen in the Klassiker, the fixture that defines Pfadi's season rather than the Espoirs'.
