Frick

Matches against SG Magden/Möhlin are billed locally as the Fricktaler Derby.

The handball section grew out of TSV Frick, a multi-sport club founded in Frick, Aargau, in 1909, and split off as its own entity within the club in 1983. The men's senior side, SG TSV Frick 1, has spent recent seasons shuttling between the 1. Liga and the 2. Liga rather than settling in either, while the women's team plays in the 2. Liga. Around 350 members keep the section running.

The clearest name to come out of Frick belongs to Hans "Höse" Huber, who started here before leaving for TV Zofingen, where he won the Swiss championship twice and played at the 1980 Moscow Olympics for the national team.

Games are played at the Sporthalle Ebnet on Schulstrasse, in red and black. What the club has not done is win a Swiss Cup or a national title — the story here has stayed local, measured against Magden and Möhlin rather than against the top of the table, back to a multi-sport association in a small Aargau town in 1909.
