Piotrcovia Women

No fixed rival stands out in Piotrków Trybunalski's record. In the EHF Cup semi-finals of 1998/1999, Piotrcovia beat Ursus Cluj, ZRK Sombor and Halychanka Lviv in succession before Győri ETO ended the run, the deepest the club has gone in Europe.

The women's section grew out of the works sports club at the Pioma mining machinery factory in 1968, and it kept that industrial backing until sponsorship fell away in the 1980s, forcing a reorganisation into a standalone body, PTS Piotrcovia. The club has since changed its legal form more than once, then settling as MKS Piotrcovia in 2005 — but it has stayed in the Superliga without a break since promotion in 1987.

The only Polish title came in 1992/1993. What followed was a long run of near misses: runner-up finishes in 1993/1994, 1997/1998, 2002/2003 and 2006/2007, and third place four times besides. That pattern repeated as recently as 2026, when the team reached the Polish Cup final and lost to KGHM Zagłębie Lubin.

Among the current squad, Joanna Gadzina was named Wing Player of the season in 2025/26, and Lucyna Sobecka earned her first Poland cap in 2025 after being named MVP at the World University Games. The team plays in red and navy at Hala Relax.
