They came close to going further that same season, losing a promotion play-off to Ossett United in 2019 after finishing runners-up in Division One East.

The Hunters Stadium holds 1,400, with 250 of those seated in a main stand fitted out with seats bought from Manchester City's old Maine Road ground. In 2025 the club replaced the pitch with a FIFA Pro standard 3G surface. Their best run in the FA Cup came in 2021-22, when they held FC Halifax Town to a goalless draw in the fourth qualifying round before losing the replay.

Gavin Rothery came through at Leeds United and helped Guiseley up into the National League before joining Pontefract, where he has stayed on as player and first-team coach; in 2022 he scored the winning penalty against Garforth Town in the FA Cup. Jack Shepherd went the other way, leaving the club's defence for Barnsley in 2023 after being voted Young Player of the Season twice running.
