Basket-Hall
Kazan, Krasnodar, Russia
The name 'Basket-Hall' is shared by two separate venues in Russia, each standing in its own city.
In Kazan, the arena sits at ul. Spartakovskaya, 1. It houses the team UNICS, and the building opened in August 2003. The main hall is flanked by a smaller training facility, and the project was a joint effort between a local institute and a Turkish construction firm. Inside, the parquet floor has seen the 2004 FIBA Europe League Final Four, and later the 2011 VTB United League Final Four. The crowd capacity is often cited as 7,000, though the official number for games sits slightly higher at 7,482.
Prigorodnaya, 24 came much later. Construction began in 2006, and the doors opened for Lokomotiv-Kuban in 2011. The arena has hosted high-profile EuroLeague games, including a match against Real Madrid in 2014 that drew a record crowd of 7,470. Renovation work took place in 2016 and 2017 to update the interior.
Both halls are strictly indoor basketball venues. The Kazan hall has seen a record attendance of 6,223 for a UNICS game, while the Krasnodar venue holds its 7,470 figure from the European club competition.
