Kazanochka won the Superleague once, in the 2011/2012 season, beating Rostov-Don 63:45 in the final under a name the club had carried for barely a year.

The team's roots go back to 1946, when women's basketball sections opened at Kazan's universities and sports societies in the aftermath of the war, and a city club championship was played that same year. The club settled on Kazanochka for the 2011/2012 season, the same year it took the title. As Kaz-UOR it had already won the Higher League in 2009/2010 to earn promotion, and as Enzhe it had reached the FIBA Europe Cup group stage in 2003.

Bronze followed in 2010/2011 and again in 2013/2014, when the club beat Voronezh-SKIF in the third-place series, and the Zina Cup went to Kazanochka in 2013.

Home games are played in front of up to 7,000 at Basket-Hall, in blue, red and white.
