The team exists to feed the senior side, Spartak Noginsk, and that purpose shapes everything about it.

That development record shows in the names that have gone through the structure and reached national-team basketball, among them Polina Selezneva and Sofya Lyulina, both having come up through the reserve ranks before establishing themselves higher up.

On the court, Spartak-2 reached the Super League 2 final in the 2018/2019 season, beaten by Yunost from Penza, then returned the following year to take bronze, beating Nadezhda-2 of Orenburg 92:77 in the third-place match. Home games are played at the Znamya Multi-Functional Sports Complex, a modest hall holding 1,500 that suits a team built for progression rather than crowds.
