Casa del Deporte: Stadium in Concepción

The Estadio Ester Roa Rebolledo stands as the principal football ground in Concepción. It has hosted the domestic fixtures of three clubs: Deportes Concepción, Universidad de Concepción, and Arturo Fernández Vial. The pitch is natural grass, though the surface condition has prompted plans for a hybrid renovation by 2027.

The stadium was opened on September 16, 1962, and underwent a significant renovation that reduced its capacity from 35,000 to 30,448 seats. It served as a venue for the Copa América 2015 tournament.

It is distinct from the Casa del Deporte gymnasium on the Universidad de Concepción campus, a facility built between 1941 and 1949 for basketball and cultural events.

The structure itself has survived decades of changes.
