The building sits within the Complejo Deportivo San Carlos de Apoquindo, a complex that has served the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since the club was forced to leave its old home at the Complejo Deportivo Santa Rosa after it was sold in 2008.

The design, by Teodoro Fernández, allows the space to shift between disciplines. An automated divider splits the main court, permitting Basketball and Volleyball to share the same surface without conflict.

On the exterior, the architectural identity is clear.
