Héctor Oreste took Los Cruzados through their four straight titles in the 1980s.

The withdrawal from DIMAYOR in December 2009 cut that history short for a while.

Against Universidad de Chile the record book matters less than the fixture itself — the Clásico Universitario is the match both sides build a season around, regardless of where either club sits in the table.

Founded in 1937, the club has worn the same white shirt with a blue stripe, La Franja, through the moves from Estadio Palestino and the Complejo Deportivo Santa Rosa to its current home. Since October 2021, Los Cruzados have played at the Edificio de Deportes UC, inside the Complejo Deportivo San Carlos de Apoquindo in Las Condes — a gymnasium built for around 1,200.
