Naviera Ulloa

The current name is barely two seasons old: since January 2024 the club has carried Naviera Ulloa de Castro on its shirts, after the shipping company took over as sponsor, and by early 2025 it wasn't carrying anything at all — the club pulled out of the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol for the season, citing money problems.

That absence sits oddly against what the club managed to build in just over a decade from its start. It began playing informally in 2000 in Castro, and was only formally constituted in February 2003. Seven years later it won the Libsur championship, beating Deportes Victoria in a result that carried it straight into the newly formed Liga Nacional. Two seasons after that, in 2011–12, it went all the way and took the national title itself, beating Boston College 97–92 after overtime.

Guillermo Narvarte was the coach who took the team through that 2011–12 run, with Zaron Cann among the players who carried the load on court. Of those who have worn the shirt since, Augusto Barbieri is the name still mentioned first when people in Castro talk about him.
