Gimnasio Colegio Los Leones
Quilpué, Chile
Locals know it as 'La Guarida', a name that fits a place where the team has recently put together a run of success. It opened in September 2011 after the school was acquired by Carlos Saavedra Lyng, who commissioned the expansion to house the growing ambitions of the local club.
Inside, the capacity is capped at 800 spectators, a figure that has caused some debate in the archives but is confirmed by multiple sources. The space is compact, covering 1,280 square metres. It is not a vast arena, but it serves its purpose for the Club Deportivo Colegio Los Leones, who have become the primary tenants since the venue opened.
The building itself is functional, situated away from the main thoroughfares of Quilpué. The team has used the floor to win the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol championship in 2024 and 2025, adding to titles won in the regional conferences and the Copa Chile. While they qualified for the Basketball Champions League Americas in December 2024, the fixtures were moved to Santiago to meet international requirements, meaning the gymnasium remains a local stronghold rather than a continental stage.
Other sides like Sportiva Italiana and Quilpué Basquetbol share the courts, but the atmosphere shifts when the home squad takes the floor.
