Viewed from above, the shape is a smooth oval, a stark contrast to the angular tiers of its neighbour. The roof is a single, sweeping curve of white material that covers every seat.

Inside, the light is even and diffuse. There are no shadows cast by jagged beams. The pitch sits in the centre of a green rectangle, marked by the clean white lines of a basketball court as well as the football pitch. The surface is a checked pattern of light and dark grass. Around the edge, advertising boards sit low to the ground, separating the field from the stands.

The seating is divided into two distinct blocks of colour. The lower tier is a deep, uniform blue. Above that, the upper tier is red. There are no other colours in the stands. The rows are steep and close together. There are no luxury boxes visible from this angle, just rows of seats rising to the roof.

The venue opened in 2000. It was built at a cost of €11 million. It holds 2,500 seats. The capacity is listed in some sources as 3,000, but the official figures for the venue sit at 2,500. It hosts basketball, volleyball, and futsal. The Rotterdam Basketbal team plays here. So does the volleyball club VC Nesselande. The venue also hosted the 2005 European Judo Championships and the 2006 Ju-Jitsu World Championships.

The location is Van Zandvlietplein 20. It sits in the Feyenoord neighborhood. The ground is adjacent to the Feijenoord Stadion. The two venues share a boundary. The wind moves freely between them. The roof of this arena is lower than the floodlight towers that rise beyond the other ground.
