The hall serves as the home ground for two professional handball sides, Budai Farkasok and Moyra-Budaörs, who play in the top flight.
The facility opened in 2010 after an architectural competition won by the studio Zsuffa és Kalmár. Since then, the structure has remained largely unchanged, aside from a recent fire in the sauna area that required a bit of restoration work. Occasionally, the hall hosts cultural events like the Operagala during the local festival, but for most of the year, it is dedicated to the game.
