«Les Renards»
In 1999, USO Hockey went bankrupt. Union Sportive Orléans Hockey had been founded in 1977, and in 1984 it won the Coupe de France, the only national cup in the city's hockey history. Instead, in January 2000, a new company, Orléans Loiret Hockey sur Glace , took over. The red and yellow colours and the nickname Les Renards, the Foxes, carried over.
In 2007 it won the French under-18 Excellence title in partnership with the Diables Noirs de Tours. In 2009–10 the seniors finished runners-up in Division 3, which brought promotion to Division 2.
Orléans went back down to Division 3 in 2012. The rink is the Patinoire d'Orléans, known locally as the Patinoire du Baron, and it holds 920 spectators. Recent opposition in the league has included Reims Champagne HC and Meudon HC.
