Tours

In 2010 the club Tours had backed for close to four decades ran out of money and folded. They registered a new entity, the Remparts de Tours, and started in the third tier. The climb back to the Ligue Magnus, France's top division, is the club's story since then.

The name changed with the new start, but the old club's history was carried forward with it. Under the earlier names, Mammouths and later Diables Noirs, or Black Devils, the side won the Coupe de France in 1975 and again in 1978. In 1980 it won the French championship, the only league title in its history. Yvon Bourgaut's number 10 shirt was retired. Steven Reinprecht, who went on to a long career in North America, is also on the list of players linked with the club.

The colours show both periods. Black and white belong to the older club. Orange was added in 2007, only three years before the collapse, and it stayed on the shirts of the Remparts.

The rink is the municipal Patinoire on Boulevard de Lattre de Tassigny. It holds about 2,300 people.
