Lucko — Zagora: 1:3, Second NL

Zagora claimed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Lučko at the sixth round of the Second Dutch League on Saturday evening. The result lifts the visitors to eighth place with nine points, while the hosts remain in thirteenth with five.

Lučko struck first when Hrastovic found the net in the sixteenth minute, and for a while it looked as if they might hold on. But Zagora responded quickly — Bralic-Labincic equalised in the thirtieth, and Tikvic put them ahead after the break in the forty-ninth. Bojadzija added a fourth in the sixty-third, and whatever resistance Lučko offered had been thoroughly dismantled.

We had backed the home side at 41 per cent confidence, but the match went its own way. Zagora sensed blood after that opening goal and gave up the ball and hit them on the break more than once. By then the pattern was set.

Lučko scored again in stoppage time, but the damage was done. The visitors have now extended their unbeaten run to five across all competitions, while the hosts have lost three of their last four league matches.

What the result means is straightforward. Zagora move closer to the upper half of the table, and Lučko's struggles continue. Five points from six games is not enough to justify optimism, no matter how you look at it.
