Albek Gongapshev

In 2016, playing for SK Soyuz-Sarmakovo in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Championship, Albek Gongapshev scored 73 goals and was named the tournament's best forward as his side took the silver medal.

He signed for the amateur side Kubanskaya Korona in January 2018, then moved on to Spartak-Nalchik the following February. His single professional season there, in the Second League, brought ten appearances and one goal. On 18 July 2019, Gongapshev joined Shinnik Yaroslavl on a free transfer. Over four seasons at the club he made 79 league appearances and scored 11 goals, a spell that included relegation to FNL-2 in 2020/21 and, the following season, the FNL-2 Group 2 championship and promotion back to the First League — his main team honour to date.

SKA-Khabarovsk activated the buy-out clause in his contract in January 2023, a deal worth around two million roubles, and he went on to make 68 league appearances for the club, scoring five goals. He returned to Shinnik on a free transfer on 8 June 2025, signing until 30 June 2027. On 9 November 2025 he brought up his 100th appearance for the club, in a match against Rotor Volgograd — a milestone from a second spell that has already added 43 league games and five goals to his tally.
