About the player
Alberto Moleiro González grew up in the Las Palmas academy on Gran Canaria, moving through Sobradillo and the club's youth sides before making his senior debut in 2021. He went on to make 138 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals, and was part of the squad that won promotion to La Liga in the 2021–22 season.
Villarreal signed the winger in June 2025 for a base fee of €16 million plus €2 million in variables. He wears the number 10 shirt at the club. In his debut season, 2025–26, Moleiro scored 10 goals in 37 La Liga appearances and added one more in the Copa del Rey.
His form at Las Palmas had already been recognised before the move: he was named La Liga Player of the Month in November 2023, and he has since taken the league's Under-23 Player of the Month award on three separate occasions, in September 2024, October 2025 and November 2025.
At international level, Moleiro has represented Spain at Under-19 level, where he scored once in eight appearances, and has gone on to earn 14 caps for the Under-21 side, with whom he was included in the squad for the 2025 European Under-21 Championship.
