Adrián Martín Ugarriza Tello

Adrián Ugarriza came through the Universidad San Martín academy before his career really took shape at Universitario de Deportes, where he won the Torneo Apertura in 2016. A move to Alianza Lima followed in 2019, and with them he added a Torneo Clausura title. In February 2020 he signed for York9 FC in Canada, but pandemic-related border closures meant he never took the pitch for the club, and the contract was dissolved by mutual agreement that July.

Back in Peru, Ugarriza rebuilt his career at Cienciano, with ten goals in Liga 1 in 2022 making him the fifth-highest scorer in the initial phase of the 2021 season. A transfer to Sporting Cristal came in 2023, and in 2024 he moved to Deportivo Garcilaso on loan, where he again reached double figures with ten goals for the club. He left as a free agent in 2025 to join Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona in the Israeli Premier League, and in November 2025 he was named MVP of a match against Ironi Tiberias after scoring twice.

The senior national team call finally arrived that same November, when Ugarriza made his debut for Peru against Russia in a friendly in Saint Petersburg that finished 1-1. He started the game and was substituted in the 59th minute. Further caps followed against Senegal, Haiti and Spain, taking his tally to four appearances for his country.
