About the player
Aaron Appindangoyé signed for Sivasspor on a free transfer in July 2019 and returned on the same terms in September 2025, after a season at Kocaelispor in which he made 36 appearances.
The route to Turkey began at CF Mounana in Gabon. There he won the national league title in 2011/12 and the Coupe du Gabon in 2013, and he was named in the Gabon Championship Team of the Season for 2013/14. Europe followed in 2015 with a loan to Boavista in Portugal, and then a loan to Thonon Evian Grand Genève in France. He joined Stade Lavallois in 2016 and moved to Ümraniyespor in 2017.
For Gabon he has made more than 70 appearances and scored twice. The first goal came against Mauritania in the 2014 African Nations Championship, the second against South Sudan in qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. He played in that 2014 tournament and in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, 2017 and 2021, and Gabon reached the quarter-finals each time.
At Sivasspor he has both a cup winner's medal and a second spell behind him.
