Adam Adakhajiev

Adam Adakhajiev came through Kairat Almaty's youth academy before joining the senior squad in January 2020, and it was there that he built his career: a Kazakhstan Premier League title in 2020, followed by a runner-up finish the year before. Earlier still, in 2019, while playing for the club's reserve side Kairat-Jastar, he was named to the Symbolic Team of the Round in the First League.

His international experience has stayed at youth level. Adakhajiev earned 10 caps for Kazakhstan's under-21 side between 2019 and 2020, making his debut against the Faroe Islands U-21 side, and years earlier had been called up to the under-17 squad for a training camp.

His path since leaving Kairat's first team has taken him in and out of the same clubs. He spent time on loan at Zhetysu Taldykorgan in 2021 before returning to Kairat permanently at the start of 2022, then left Kairat for good in February 2025 in a permanent move to Okzhetpes Kokshetau, where he made 24 appearances and scored once. In January 2026, Adakhajiev returned to Zhetysu, the club where his loan spell had once taken him.

A right-footed midfielder, he now wears the number 8 shirt for Zhetysu.
