Aleksandr Orekhov

Aleksandr Orekhov has never left the club that raised him. He joined Torpedo Moscow's academy at the age of eleven and worked his way through every level of the set-up before making his senior debut for the first team in May 2019, in the Second League. A debut in the Russian First League followed that September, and the midfielder's progress through the ranks culminated in the 2021–22 season, when Torpedo won the First League title and returned to the Russian Premier League. Orekhov made his top-flight debut for the club in May 2023, and that same month signed a contract extension through 2026.

His development has also included time away from Moscow. Between 2022 and 2023 he was loaned to Torpedo-2, the club's reserve side, where he made 22 appearances and scored twice in the Second League. In January 2025 he moved on loan to Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino in Belarus, where he featured in the Belarusian Premier League and the Belarusian Cup, scoring once and setting up a goal during the club's run in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. Torpedo-BelAZ reached the Belarusian Cup final that season. Orekhov returned to Torpedo Moscow in August 2025.

He has not yet been capped by the senior Russian national team. What stands out in his story so far is the absence of any transfer fee: every move he has made, from academy graduate to loan spells and back, has been an internal step rather than a purchase.
